BURNS – (Release and photos from the Burns Fire Department)
“In March, Burns Fire Department and Burns Tribal Fire came together for ground ladder training. There were demonstrations using extension, roof and attic ladders. The team practiced raising and lowering the extension ladder, proper carrying techniques, ascending and descending with hand tools, and ladder safety.
To finish off the evening’s training, the ladder on Ladder 109 was extended to 75 feet. Six members took the opportunity to climb to the top and meet the man in the moon.
The Burns Fire Department is accepting applications for volunteers. Come in and apply today.”
