Harney County-Effective Tuesday, September 12, Burns District Bureau of Land Management, within Burns Interagency Fire Zone, (BIFZ), will be rescinding the regulated fire closures/public use restrictions.

This means there will no longer be a 1:00 pm shut down for personal chainsaw use and campfires will be permitted outside of campgrounds. Please use existing campfire rings when possible or ensure your campfire ring is constructed within a 10-foot diameter devoid of vegetation.

The Malheur National Forest has already lifted restrictions, so now all of BIFZ will be congruent.

Fire Danger remains Moderate for all of BIFZ at this time.
