WALLA WALLA – A Burbank woman was sentenced Thursday to 26 months in prison on two felony counts of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit material, both felonies. Ashley Moedano-Padilla, 19, was arrested last October and originally booked for second and third-degree rape of a child.
According to court documents, the victim was 13 when the sexual relations began in 2022 and told law enforcement the relationship was consensual. The age of consent in the state of Washington is 16, according to the Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Upon release from prison, Moedano-Padilla will be on community custody for 36 months and be required to register as a sex offender for 15 years. At her sentencing hearing in Walla Walla County Superior Court, Moedano-Padilla apologized for the pain she caused her family. She also expressed love for her family and her girlfriend.
