GRANITE, OR – North Fork John Day Watershed Council Project Director Alex Rice was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, and explained that there will be some work done this year near the Granite area:
“We’re going to be actually doing some mine tailings cleanup near Granite, Oregon, on Bull Run Creek.
It’s going to be a pretty big restoration on the stream, removing mine tailings and planting trees–and just improving water quality and creating fish habitat up there in one of those high-altitude systems that is just so important for everybody.”
