Brush fire threatens structures

BURNS – Just before 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28, there was a report of a vehicle on fire on Highway 205 near Hotchkiss Lane which then sparked two brush fires, threatening structures in the area. Burns and Hines fire departments, Burns Paiute fire department, the BLM, and Silver Creek and Crane RFPAs were advised, and several private individuals brought equipment to fight the fires. The blazes were extinguished around 7:30.
