PENDLETON – Blue Mountain Community College Interim President Connie Green has been meeting regularly with Mark Browning, who will take the reins on Sept. 7. She said she’s impressed with his understanding of the issues and his ability to listen.
“He really wants Blue Mountain to be not only a solid place you can count on, but a place that can help the community keep growing,” she said.
Browning has been hard at work not just with acquainting himself with BMCC, but also with wrapping up his life in Idaho.
“He does have to transition out of his current position in Idaho,” Green said. “He’s bought a home here, so he has to pack. The home closes on Sept. 3. He’s packing, he’s transitioning, and by the way he’s writing the end of his doctoral dissertation.”
Browning is currently the vice president of college relations at the College of Western Idaho.
