Broncs and Bulls back in Baker City tonight and tomorrow, don’t miss it

BAKER CITY – Jason Maddox representing the Baker City Broncs and Bulls event taking place tonight and tomorrow night in Baker City spoke with Elkhorn Media Group Staff to discuss this year’s event.

(Q) Jason, can you just give a quick rundown of the who, what and when for this year’s event?

(A) We took a year off last year and we’re excited to bring it back to the community, Friday and Saturday, July 16th and 17th. We’re ready to bring back some of the rankest horses and some of the rankest bulls that Baker City is accustomed to getting. We are excited.  It’s a new year and we are all ready to get out and do something.  It’s going to be a great night tonight and tomorrow, so come out and enjoy a family fun event.

(Q) What are the payouts for this weekend’s event?

(A) There’s $25,000 in the pot for Friday night for the bronc riders and $25,000 pay out for the bull riding, and that brings you the top guys from the Northwest and all over.  We have a list of contestants that are going to come, and they are excited to be back in Baker City and show Baker City that they are top notch, and they are going to put on some great rides.  

We are going to have NFR bucking horses and NFR bulls.  Top notch guys get top notch stock. 

(Q) Where can people get tickets?

(A) You can get your tickets at D&B Supply, Les Schwab and also at the Chamber.  You can also get them at the gate.
