Broken pole causes outage in Canyon City area

CANYON CITY – The following is a press release from Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative:

OUTAGE NOTIFICATION – John Day District

At 7:08 a.m. a power outage in the Canyon City area was reported affecting around 100 members. The cause of the outages is a broken pole from trees falling into the lines due to high winds. Crews are at the scene to begin restoration procedures and replace the pole. We expect to have power restored by 2:00 this afternoon.
