UNION/WALLOWA COUNTY – (Northeast Oregon Economic Development District )The Northeast Oregon Economic Development District (NEOEDD) is forming Broadband Action Teams (BATs) in Union and Wallowa counties. BATs are diverse, multi-stakeholder groups that discuss broadband challenges and opportunities, leading to greater awareness, access, and adoption. The purpose of NEOEDD’s Broadband Action Teams is to improve broadband usability and versatility in NE Oregon and increase collaboration across sectors and interests.
Businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, schools and members of the public are welcome to participate in the BAT. The first BAT meetings will be held via Zoom on November 30 at 1:00 p.m. for Wallowa County and December 2 at noon for Union County. Daniel Holbrook, Broadband Manager for the Oregon Broadband Office will present information about Oregon’s broadband improvement plans and government funding programs at the Wallowa County BAT meeting. His presentation will be recorded and replayed at the Union County BAT meeting.
