BOARDMAN – A 27-year-old woman in Boardman is expected to survive multiple stab wounds in an attack at the Wilson Road Mobile Home Park in Boardman Tuesday. Boardman police, assisted by deputies from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene and gave medical assistance to the victim.

“Her boyfriend stopped the attacker,” Boardman Police Chief Richard Stokoe said. “We were fortunate that happened.”

The boyfriend and the suspect, 20-year-old Pablo Hernandez, were taken in separate ambulances to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. Stokoe said they were both treated and released, and Hernandez was then taken into custody.

He is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, and fourth-degree aggravated assault. His bail is set at $380,000. Stokoe said the case is ongoing and his detectives and officers are working hard to complete the investigation.
