Body found in burning Kennewick home

KENNEWICK — A deceased person was located inside a double-wide trailer which caught fire around 10:30 a.m. Monday on the 1400 block of Elm Street. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office said it is unknown how the fire started and that this is an ongoing investigation.
After firefighters put out the fire, crews began clearing the residence and that’s when the deceased person was located.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office said an autopsy will be conducted in order to determine the possible cause of death.
