PENDLETON – The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners is expected to set a date for auctioning 22 properties in the county at its regular meeting at 9 a.m. today (Wednesday). The auction is proposed for May 4 and the location will depend on COVID-19 restrictions and will therefore be announced closer to the date.

A complete list of the properties including the minimum acceptable bids is posted as an attachment on the commissioners’ agenda for the meeting. The auction will either be held inside the county courthouse in Pendleton or on the steps at the same location.

Commissioners will also consider a request from the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office for a Jeep Grand Cherokee on a two-year lease. Dave Williams, the fleet manager, said it’s to replace an aging vehicle. The cost would be $15,260 a year.

The meeting is streamed live on the county’s website. The complete agenda is at http://www.co.umatilla.or.us/bcc/agendas/AgendaMar1720.html.
