BMW riders donate $2,500 to Grant County Fairgrounds

JOHN DAY – Several hundred BMW motorcycle riders were in Grant County for their regular summertime rally at the Grant County Fairgrounds. Mindy Winegar, Fairgrounds Manager, recently told KJDY listeners that the riders were impressed and gave back to the grounds:
“We had right at 400 motorcyclists for that. A great event. BMW also donated $2,500 for the fairgrounds for more improvements. They’ve just been really impressed over the years of what’s happened on out grounds, and wanted to donate a little bit, too.”
Winegar stated that later this year, the fairgrounds plan on undertaking a roofing project for Trowbridge Pavilion. She said the BMW riders’ donation will be spent on those efforts.
