BMH in John Day to conduct “Disaster Drill” Wednesday on Starr Ridge

JOHN DAY – Blue Mountain Hospital Foundation and Public Relations Director Jena Knowles informed our newsroom today that the hospital will be participating in a “Disaster Drill” on the morning of this Wednesday, January 7th. The drill will begin at 9 a.m. and will involve the scenario of a bus crash on U.S. 395C’s Starr Ridge with multiple injuries. The drill will include law enforcement, EMS, and hospital personnel.
A post on BMHD’s social media states the public, “…will hear it on the scanner, hear sirens, and see emergency vehicles heading to the scene.”
Blue Mountain Hospital District wants to make sure the public is aware that this is an annual drill, and folks need not be alarmed.
