BMCC launches search for president

PENDLETON – The Blue Mountain Community College Board of Directors has launched the search for a new president. Interim President Connie Green said a timeline is set.
“The search committee will be interviewing some finalists toward the end of May, and by the second week of June the goal is that there will be two or three finalists on campus,” Green said.
Those on campus visits could be held virtually, depending on the pandemic. Green also said that the board has also prepared for the first search not producing a suitable candidate in time for a summer hiring.
“If that doesn’t work, then we will continue to recruit and come back in September and do interviews,” she said.
