PENDLETON – Enrollment is down at Blue Mountain Community College. Interim President Connie Green said that the drop is due in part to having to go totally online due to the pandemic, but it’s also due to problems last fall with new software.

“We could call it an anomaly,” she said. “You could call it a disaster. You could call it not the right way to bring  up a software system. It wasn’t what was intended.

With the software kinks unsnarled, Green said the big hope is that BMCC will be able to fully open in the fall.

“We’re going to see what fall brings,” she said. “Our hope is to open up. One of the things that would help me so much in this community is everybody get vaccinated.”
