BMCC celebrates meat and offers scholarships

PENDLETON – Blue Mountain Community College President Mark Browning is thrilled with the success of the Level 3 master butchers’ courses and is getting ready for a fall semester filled with learning.
“It (master butchers) was off the charts,” he said. “It’s been, without question, the most successful thing that we’ve done in the last four or five years in terms of community interest and in terms of proficiency that people gained.”
A number of associate’s degrees and certification programs are available this fall at BMCC and there’s still time to enroll. Meanwhile, the BMCC Foundation wants students enrolled for the fall semester know that the organization has numerous scholarships. By filling out one form, enrolled students can apply for a number of scholarships (not loans).
Students with a BMCC student ID and BMCC email can apply for all the scholarships on their Wolf Web student portal under the “Foundation” tab. It’s free to apply for admission to BMCC, and anyone who completes the admissions process is able to access the application.
