HERMISTON – Blue Mountain Community College has entered into a partnership with Washington State University Tri-Cities for a direct student transfer program that will save students money as they move forward to a four-year degree.
BMCC President Mark Browning and WSU Chancellor Sandra Haynes signed the agreement for the WSU Ti-Cities-BMCC Bridges Program saying it will help students stay on track for a bachelor’s degree.
When students file to participate in the program, they are given advisors at both schools to develop a complete program of study. They do not have to pay application admissions fees, nor do they have to spend money to access transcripts for transfer. In addition, students from BMCC will benefit from in-state tuition at WSU.
“Bridges is what we hope to see for all our students who see a path to their future through a regional research university like Washington State University Tri-Cities,” Browning said. “Blue Mountain students will be able to pursue a complete program right here.”
