GRANT COUNTY – Prescribed burning is expected to continue on the Malheur National Forest. Ignitions began last week on the Gibb 14 unit within the Blue Mountain Ranger District, southeast of Galena.
Around 57 acres of treatment is planned, with ignitions lasting through March 4th. Smoke will likely be visible for several days in the area. For more information, contact the Joh Day Interagency Dispatch Center at (541) 575-1321.
