JOHN DAY – In preparation for a potential increased need for viral and/or respiratory illness patient evaluation, the Blue Mountain Hospital has set up the tent outside the Emergency Department COVID screening door, as was done at the beginning of the pandemic.

The hospital notes there isn’t a need for it at the moment, but they are being proactive should a surge occur. BMHD are also working to create a viral/respiratory illness patient evaluation space on the south side of Strawberry Wilderness Community Clinic.
