Blue Mountain Hospital is expecting a new doctor next year

JOHN DAY – Blue Mountain Hospital District CEO Cam Marlowe was on KJDY’s Coffee Time Monday, and said while there is a shortage of medical providers in the community, another doctor will be joining the hospital next year:
“We…are experiencing in our local communities, kind of an overall shortage in providers. We are working on that right now. We do have a great provider that’s coming in the near future. When I say near future, it’s not as near as we would like—in 2024—and this person is a doctor. She is going to be able to perform C-sections, all OB services, and so we’re really excited for that.”
Marlowe said the hospital will release the new doctor’s name and expected start date sometime next year.
