JOHN DAY โ€“ (Press Release from the Blue Mountain Hospital District)

Blue Mountain Hospital is excited to announce that it has achieved full accreditation through DNVโ€™s National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHOยฎ) Critical Access Hospital (CAH) program and has also earned ISO 9001:2015 certification. These achievements highlight the hospitalโ€™s ongoing dedication to providing high quality, patient-centered care to the rural communities it serves.

Why is DNV Accreditation Important?

It proves the hospital meets strict healthcare rules.

It ensures safe, consistent, and high-quality patient care.

It allows the hospital to treat Medicare patients.

It encourages ongoing improvement across all departments.

In short, DNV accreditation shows that a hospital doesnโ€™t just meet the basics, itโ€™s committed to doing better every day for its patients and community.

By meeting the rigorous standards set by both NIAHOยฎ and ISO 9001:2015, Blue Mountain Hospital demonstrates its commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence. These certifications strengthen the hospitalโ€™s ability to deliver safe, effective, and efficient care to its patients.

NIAHOยฎ Accreditation:

The NIAHOยฎ program is run by DNV and combines important Medicare rules with worldwide quality standards. Unlike other hospital checks, NIAHOยฎ helps hospitals keep getting better over time by regularly reviewing how they do things, lowering risks, and improving care for patients.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification:

This certification focuses on strong leadership, clear and consistent processes, and being responsible for results. It matches perfectly with Blue Mountain Hospitalโ€™s goals and helps everyone work together better. Earning this certification involved every part of the hospital and helped strengthen teamwork and open communication.

โ€œAs the only hospital in Grant County, we take great pride in being a cornerstone of healthcare in our region,โ€ said Misty Roberston, CEO at Blue Mountain Hospital. โ€œThese recognitions reflect our commitment to going above and beyond regulatory requirements, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.โ€

Blue Mountain Hospital remains dedicated to advancing the health of its community through a focus on clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
