Blue Mountain Bistro invites first responders to complimentary meal on Patriot Day

LA GRANDE  — (Press release from Grande Ronde Hospital & Clinics) In recognition of Patriot Day, Blue Mountain Bistro at Grande Ronde Hospital will offer a complimentary breakfast, lunch, or dinner to current and former first responders on Friday, September 11. 

Patriot Day is observed each year on September 11 in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and in recognition of the extraordinary service and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call that day. Congress officially designated September 11 as Patriot Day in December 2001. In 2009, Congress also designated the date as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. 

“Patriot Day gives us an opportunity not only to remember those who were lost on September 11, but also to recognize the courage and commitment of first responders everywhere,” said Jeremy Davis, President and CEO of Grande Ronde Hospital & Clinics. “This is a simple way for us to say thank you to the people who have dedicated themselves to serving and protecting others.” 

Current and former first responders are invited to visit Blue Mountain Bistro at Grande Ronde Hospital between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on September 11 and enjoy a complimentary meal. Guests may choose breakfast, lunch, or dinner. 

No formal program or ceremony is planned. First responders are encouraged to stop by at their convenience and let the Blue Mountain Bistro and GRH team serve them for a change.
