VALE – (Release from the Bureau of Land Management) The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a proposal to explore for lithium in the McDermitt Caldera near Nevada in Malheur County, Oregon. If approved, HiTech Minerals Inc. could modify approximately 100 acres with 267 exploration drill sites across 7,200 acres of public lands.

The project would include construction of 30 miles of new access routes, seasonal drilling July November for up to five years, and collection of subsurface hydrological, geophysical, and geochemical data. Approval would require the company to restore the land to its original state at the end of each drill season.
