BLM Offering Free Day Use Access at the Spring Recreation Site

HUNTINGTON – In recognition of the 30th annual National Public Lands Day, the Bureau of Land Management has announced it will waive standard day use and amenity fees at eleven BLM sites across Oregon and Washington on Saturday, September 23. Within Eastern Oregon, this includes the Spring Recreation Site located at 28403 Snake River Rd, Huntington.

Note the fee waiver only applies to standard day use amenity fees. Visitors will still need to cover overnight camping, group day-use, cabin rental and other special recreation fees as required. The BLM are also reminding visitors to abide by local fire restrictions. Other recreation sites across Oregon and Washington to have their fees waived include:

  • Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area 
  • Cape Blanco Lighthouse
  • Wildwood Recreation Site  
  • Hyatt Lake Recreation Area 
  • Gerber Recreation Area
  • Yakima River Canyon
  • Loon Lake Recreation Site 
  • Alsea Falls Recreation Site 
  • Shotgun Creek Recreation Site
  • Edson Creek Recreation Site
