PRAIRIE CITY – (Press Release from the Malheur National Forest)
The Malheur National Forest has rescinded the temporary road closure on a section of the 1600-000 road for the Big Creek bridge replacement project. This project addressed needed bridge replacement and road improvements.
Due to weather conditions, the paving portion of the project will not be completed until spring 2025. Traffic is advised to reduce speed and use caution through the worksite as road surfaces will remain gravel through the winter. Caution is also recommended with a few bumps on the bridge approach.
Signs are posted on the ground for awareness.
