WASHINGTON, D.C. – Oregon’s counties will receive more than $113 million in federal assistance over the next two years through a program included in the first COVID-19 relief plan. The assistance is part of the Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund.
Over the next two years, Baker County is getting $6,499,892.12. Grant County will receive $4,363,200. Harney County will realize $4,545,000. Wallowa County is due $4,527,000. Union County will get $2,994,275.96. Umatilla County is set to receive $2,017,666.26 in the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years. Morrow County’s total for the two years is $731,052.26.
The fund is for counties that participate in certain federal revenue sharing programs related to federal land within their jurisdictions.
The fund also provides $500 million for Tribes throughout the nation. Tribal governments have until the end of October to submit applications for their allocations.
