Bentz faults Biden for border problems

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-Ontario) believes that mixed messages from the Biden Administration are causing an influx of illegal immigrants entering the United States.
“President Biden should never have said or have his people say, ‘Don’t come now, but you can come later,’” Bentz said. “The moment people hear that the border is going to open in some fashion, they’re going to head north and that’s what’s happening.”
Bentz said the blanket immigration policies being discussed by Democrats are damaging because they discourage what he sees as a needed “thoughtful” process for immigration reform.
“We do need folks helping us in the agricultural sector,” Bentz said. “This kind of lax policy makes it really, really difficult to have those kinds of conversations.”
