Nine arrested in BENT action

MILTON-FREEWATER – The Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team aided by the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Umatilla County Parole and Probation, and the Walla Walla Police Department, arrested nine people in the Milton-Freewater area earlier this week.

Pendleton Police Chief Chuck Byram wrote that the operation was “targeting residences in the Milton-Freewater area deemed to be negatively impacting the livability of the community.”

Four of the nine people arrested were found to be in possession of controlled substances and one person is charged with delivery of controlled substances. Others were taken into custody due to outstanding warrants.

Milton-Freewater residents who were arrested are Pamela Sibbert, Marcial Corrales Jr., Troy Kellett, Eugene Larsen, Darrin Dettmer, Danny Nelson, and Sandra Cortez. Joey Crooke of Pendleton was also arrested, as was Steven Farrens of no known address on a warrant out of Washington state.
