Beard seeks Vert input

PENDLETON – Pendleton Convention Center Manager Pat Beard has a new love in his professional life – the Vert Auditorium.
“It’s a prom queen whose dress is ripped and heels gone off her shoe, and we’ve got to pour some love back into it,” he said. “It can be incredible.”
The auditorium next to Pendleton City Hall comes under the umbrella of the convention center. Beard said city employee Val Anctil has put a large amount of work into making the Vert come to life.
“We’ve probably brought more events there in the last two or three months than we have in the last two or three years, and it is due in large part to Val.” he said.
Beard asks anyone with ideas about events that would be right for the Vert to stop by the convention center and talk to him.
