Bear Creek Bridge in Wallowa to Closed for Construction

WALLOWA COUNTY – (Release from ODOT) The Bear Creek (Wallowa River) Bridge will be closed starting Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. The road is scheduled to open Aug. 4 at 4 p.m. This is a full closure to all vehicles. Traffic will once again be detoured around the work zone using Lower Diamond Lane and Fifth Street in Wallowa.
The closure will allow the contractor to pour the new bridge deck. After the closure, traffic will return to a single lane with an automated traffic signal. The remainder of the new structure will be completed in fall 2023.
Remember to please drive with caution through the detour.
