NORTHEAST OREGON – Drivers along I-84 should be mindful of foggy conditions on Cabbage hill (approximately milepost 224-253. The National Weather Service in Pendleton reports that fog will persist and remain a threat to drivers for the next several days. Visibility could drop as low as 1/4 of a mile in certain areas. Foggy conditions will also persist further west throughout North Central Oregon.
Drivers are reminded to stay prepared for sudden drops in visibility and to adjust speed to match conditions as needed. When driving in low visibility conditions, the Oregon Department of Transportation offers the following recommendations:
