BAKER CITY – Officers with the Baker City Police Department took part in EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) training recently. This was held at the Baker City Airport and included training personnel from various Eastern Oregon law enforcement agencies and was hosted by the Oregon Department of Public Safety and Standards Training (DPSST).
In addition, according got the Baker City Police Department, they hosted a RADAR/LIDAR Operators Course training for law enforcement. “This free training was held in Council Chambers at City Hall with members from multiple agencies from around the region in attendance. The RADAR/LIDAR Operator Course is the classroom portion of the speed enforcement curriculum from NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police). This class provides students with the knowledge and skills to conduct speed enforcement utilizing RADAR units.”
