BAKER CITY — If there is one thing Baker School District 5J and volunteers at the Baker City Backpack Program have in common, it is feeding hungry kids. Program volunteers report the school district recently donated a whole bunch of hummus to be included in the students’ meal bags.
The Baker City Backpack Program extended thanks to Baker School District 5J’s Food Services team members Amanda and Steven and wrote, “Your contribution is helping ensure that more children in our community have access to healthy, nutritious food. This donation will go a long way in filling backpacks and supporting families who need it most.”
