BAKER CITY — The Baker School District is inviting parents and guardians to provide input for the development of the district calendar for the upcoming school year. Superintendent Erin Lair has formed a small committee with representation from various stakeholders, including staff and parents.
Parents interested in participating can express their interest by filling out an online form.
The selected committee members, representing different segments of the school community, will be tasked with reaching out to their respective groups. Their mission is to gather valuable feedback on the strengths and challenges of the current calendar, identify non-negotiables, and consider any additional input that individuals may want to provide.
“The district values parent input in shaping the academic calendar to best meet the needs of the school community,” said Lindsey Bennington-McDowell, Public Information and Communications Coordinator for the school district. “By actively involving the community in the calendar development process, the district aims to create a schedule that best serves the interests of students, families, and staff.”
The district says parental participation is essential in this process. Please click here to fill out the form if you’re interested in serving on this committee.
