BAKER CITY – Samantha Fritz will replace Geno Bates, who is retiring, as the Assistant Principal of Baker High School (BHS) beginning July 1.
“We are incredibly lucky to have Ms. Fritz join the BHS Family,” said Principal Skye Flanagan. “She brings high energy, an incredible work ethic, and a variety of experience, including Special Education and Trauma Informed practices. We are looking forward to her as an asset and added support for our students and staff.”
Ms. Fritz has nine years of teaching experience in schools serving diverse populations. Most recently, she has been a Special Education Resource Teacher in La Grande School District during the current school year and in Twin Falls School District 411 beginning in 2020. Prior to that, she was a Title 1/Behavior Interventionist for Twin Falls School District 411. Ms. Fritz is a native Eastern Oregonian with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Boise State University and Administrator licenses in both Oregon and Idaho.“I am from North Powder and am really looking forward to being part of the Baker community and serving in this new capacity,” said Ms. Fritz. “One Team, One Family really appeals to me.”
