Baker School Board adopts new calendar for 2024-25

BAKER CITY — (Information from the Baker School District) At their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, S, the Baker School District Board adopted the District calendar for the 2024-25 school year beginning July 1.
The 2024-25 school year will begin for students across the District on Monday, August 26; and it will end on Wednesday, June 11.
Next school year will have the same number of school days as the current school year, but there will not be school on any Fridays and there will be a full two-week Winter Break.
The 2024-25 District Calendar has been posted to the Baker School District website at bakersd.org under the District Information tab on the homepage.
For the current school year, which will end for most students across the District on Thursday, June 6, it was also discussed that kindergarten students at the Baker Early Learning Center will be released two days earlier on Tuesday, June 4. This will give staff at the Baker Early Learning Center two days to prepare the building for the final phase of bond projects set to be completed over the summer, as the HVAC work being done will require a temporary move from some areas of the building.
