BAKER CITY – This week over 65,000 FFA members from across the nation have been attending the National Convention in Indiana. While all results have not yet been released, one national award recipient is from Baker City. 8th Grader with Baker Middle School Chase Myatt took 4th Place in National Agriscience Fair in Animal Science Division 1.
According to Baker FFA, Myatt “researched processing age to maximize profitability in meat rabbits. He completed a written research report of his findings, along with a research poster. As a finalist he was interviewed and shared his research today during the FFA Expo.
Chase also has a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) where he raises and cares of over 100 market rabbits.”
