BAKER CITY — Baker Middle School recently announced the results of a successful fundraiser through their BMS Carnival. The school was able to earn $17,304 from the proceeds of the carnival held on March 6th. The school recently posted, “All the funds raised through this event go back to Baker Middle School and provide a tremendous boost to our school.”
The school is raising money this year for an electronic reader board to be displayed on Broadway Street outside of Baker Middle School.
Students had a goal to sell 6,000 or more raffle tickets for the event. It was agreed upon that if the students reach their sales goal, Mrs. Wilde would kiss a pig. BMS students indeed reached their goal, and Mrs. Wilde’s date with the pig is scheduled to commence at an assembly on Monday, March 17th at 1:30 p.m.at the Baker Middle School Gymnasium.
