Baker High School’s Bibiana Gifft officially receives honorary American FFA Degree

BAKER CITY – On the morning of Friday, October 31, Baker High School’s Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor, Bibiana Gifft, officially received her Honorary American FFA Degree during the 98th Annual FFA National Convention in Indianapolis. The Oregon FFA initially announced Gifft had earned the degree back in August, with her formally receiving the degree on stage last week. For those unfamiliar, the Honorary American FFA Degree is for (as written by the National FFA Association):

“Individuals who have provided exceptional service on a national level to agriculture, agricultural education, or FFA are eligible for the Honorary American FFA Degree. Additionally, teachers who have created high-quality agricultural education programs which inspire and motivate their students to strive for success are eligible”

In a social media update, Baker School District wrote: 

“Congratulations to our own Mrs. Bibiana Gifft who received her Honorary American Degree this morning at the National FFA Convention! What an honor – we are glad we got to celebrate with you. Thanks for all you do for our students!”
