BAKER COUNTY — Extra money means extra patrols over the holiday season, according to the Baker County Sheriff’s Office. Grant funding through the Oregon Impact fund has enabled the BCSO to conduct overtime high visibility DUII enforcement patrols through the first of next year.
Baker County Sheriff’s Deputies will be targeting impaired drivers and have shared a few safety tips as well. The department asks that you always designate a sober driver, wear your seatbelt, don’t let your friends drive impaired, and report suspected drunk drivers to Baker County Dispatch.
Other law enforcement agencies throughout Oregon will participate in the added patrols as well.
