Baker County schools see varying 2025 graduation rates

BAKER COUNTY – The Oregon Department of Education has officially released the final graduation rates for the class of 2025. According to the ODE, this latest graduating class achieved Oregon’s highest ever high school graduation rate at 83% statewide, an increase of 1,546 students over the class of 2024 and breaking the previous graduation rate record of 82.6% set by the class of 2025. 

The class of 2025 is also the first since the COVID-19 pandemic to officially complete all four years in person, marking a milestone on the return to normal school routines.

This third examination of local 2025 graduation rate percentages will focus on Baker County schools. The previous look at Wallowa County school districts can be found here. For Baker County, local school districts saw varying successes, with all but Baker 5J coming in at or above the state average, with Baker 5J and Pine Eagle also seeing a decreased graduation rate compared to 2024. 

The following are the official 2025 four-year graduation rates (as posted by the ODE) for the local Baker County classes of 2025:

  • Baker SD:
    • 2025: 77.1%
    • 2024: 78.8%
  • Burnt River SD:
    • 2025: 91.7%
    • 2024: 75.0%
  • Huntington SD:
    • 2025: 84.6%
    • 2024: 83.3%
  • Pine Eagle SD:
    • 2025: 83.3%
    • 2024: 93.3%
