BAKER COUNTY – (Release from the Baker County Library District) Stefanie Kirby, Baker County’s dedicated County Clerk, will be visiting Baker County Public Library in celebration of National Voter Registration Day on September 19, 2023, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm to encourage and facilitate voter registration within the community.
National Voter Registration Day is a nationwide, nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. Held in September each year, it aims to raise awareness about the importance of voter registration and civic participation while ensuring that every eligible American has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote. This day serves as a reminder for citizens to register to vote or update their voter information ahead of upcoming elections.
Kirby will be available at Baker County Public Library to assist individuals with the voter registration process, answer any questions related to voting, and provide essential information about upcoming elections and voting deadlines. This event is open to all residents of Baker County, whether you are a first-time voter, recently moved to the area, or need to update your voter information.
“National Voter Registration Day is a vital opportunity for our community to come together and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard in our democratic process,” said Perry Stokes, Library Director. “I encourage all eligible residents to join us at the Baker County Public Library on September 19th to register to vote, verify their registration status, or simply learn more about the electoral process.”
The Baker County Public Library is excited to be a part of this nationwide initiative to promote civic engagement and invites everyone to participate in this important event. Bring your questions, bring your friends, and together, let’s make a difference in our community’s democratic future.
