Baker County Libraries to Close for Annual Staff Training on Thursday, August 17

BAKER COUNTY  – (Release from the Baker County Library District)  All six branches of Baker County Library District will be closed on Thursday, August 17, for an annual staff training event. This closure is part of the library’s commitment to enhancing the quality of service offered to the community and ensuring that patrons receive the best possible experience. This training will empower staff to better assist visitors by providing updates on the latest industry trends, best practices, and innovative technologies.

“We recognize the importance of continuously developing our staff’s skills and knowledge to offer top-notch services to our patrons,” said Perry Stokes, Library Director at Baker County Libraries. “The annual staff training day allows us to invest in our team and ensure they are well-equipped to meet the diverse needs of our community members.”

During the closure, patrons are encouraged to explore the library’s digital resources, including the new Hoopla Digital service offering streaming and download of music, movies, comics and more, and the Libby app with access to thousands of ebooks and e-audiobooks.

Baker County Libraries will resume regular operating hours on Friday, August 18, with staff members ready to provide their newly refined expertise to serve the community effectively.
