BAKER CITY – Baker County law enforcement agencies took time to honor the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe.
The 2nd Annual Baker County Law Enforcement Recognition Banquet was held Thursday, February 29 at the Baker County Events Center.
Also honored were community partners and businesses.
The following is a full list of award recipients:
2023 Dispatcher of the Year: Corrina Jacobs, Baker County Sheriff’s Office
2023 Parole and Probation Officer of the Year: Lt. Ryan Downing, Baker County Sheriff’s Office
2023 Corrections Officer of the Year: Sgt. Brian Kennedy, Oregon Dept. of Corrections
2023 Greg Walker DUII Enforcement Officer of the Year: Ofc. Mason Powell, Baker City Police Department
2023 Traffic Safety Trooper of the Year: Trooper Cody Bennet, Oregon State Police
2023 Instructor of the Year: Sr. Trooper Dakotah Keys, Oregon State Police
2023 Life Saving Award: Deputy Bo Hansen, Baker County Sheriff’s Office
2023 Dedication to Duty Officer Award: Deputy Talon Colton, Baker County Sheriff’s Office (Now Trooper Colton with OSP)
2023 Critical Incident Support of the Year: James Corum, Roadrunner Towing
2023 Community Partner of the Year: Baker County Safe Communities Coalition
2023 Supervisor of the Year: Sgt. Clay Stevens, Oregon State Police
