Baker County is soliciting project proposals for STIF

BAKER CITY – (Information released from Baker County) Baker County is soliciting project proposals for the Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund Grant (STIF) FY 2021-2023. STIF formula funds may be used for any purpose directly related to transportation services, including, but not limited to, transit operations, capital equipment, planning, travel training and other transit-related purposes.

The STIF Formula Fund is intended to expand and improve public transportation services for current and future transit users. The legislative intent of STIF funding is to prioritize improvement or expansion of services. Generally, client-only transportation services are
not eligible, with a few exceptions.

Baker County will prioritize projects that address:
·       Medical/mental health transport
·       Rural Area Services
·       Demand/Response
·       Shopping

Project proposals are due no later than 4:00 p.m. March 24, 2021. Submit proposals via Cognito Forms on the State website.
