Baker County has another new Sharing Pantry

BAKER COUNTY — The Baker County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is the latest location in Baker County to offer a Sharing Pantry.

According to information from the sheriff’s office, “Deputy Maldonado spearheaded this project and reached out to Jenny Blair and Haley Hueckman with the Baker County Safe Communities Coalition, who graciously provided a pre-built pantry. “

The concept of sharing pantries began as a “grassroots movement to help people experiencing food insecurity.”

The motto is “take what you need, leave what you can.”

In a Facebook post by BCSO was the following information.

“A BIG thank you to the Baker County Facilities Director, Dan McQuisten, and Jeff Martin for completing the installation and the Baker County Safe Communities Coalition for funding this project!

If you are interested in donating, stop by 3410 K Street and drop off unexpired food items in the pantry. We appreciate your support!”
