Baker County Chamber director resigns after 14 months

BAKER CITY — (Release by Baker Co. Chamber of Commerce) Devon Colton, the Executive Director of Baker County Unlimited (BCU) dba, Baker County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, has tendered her resignation, effective February 16, 2024.

Colton’s decision to step down from her role as Executive Director follows a period of careful consideration of her professional commitments and personal priorities.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunities and experiences during her term, Colton acknowledges the support and collaboration received from the Chamber membership. In a statement, she extends her appreciation to each member and apologizes to those who may find her departure disappointing. She expresses her deepest gratitude to those who have provided unwavering support, highlighting their encouragement as invaluable.

“Your involvement and passion for Baker County have made the hard work over the past 14

months truly worthwhile,” Colton stated.

The BCU Board acknowledges Colton’s dedication and appreciates her significant contribution to the organization. The Board will initiate a search for a new Executive Director to continue the Chamber’s mission of promoting economic growth and fostering collaboration within the Baker County community.
