Baker City’s Orpheum Theatre Structural Upgrades Project completed

BAKER CITY — The Baker City Downtown organization has announced the recent completion of an Oregon Main Street Revitalization Grant project from 2022. The Orpheum Theatre Structural Upgrades Project is finished, and the 134-year-old theatre has undergone seismic stabilization and work to the masonry. The grant provided $200,000 toward those efforts.

Baker City Downtown recently congratulated “Aletha Bonebrake and Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre on their amazing work on such a fantastic building.”

Baker City Downtown noted, “While there is still work to go before the Orpheum Theatre is open to the public, BCD is incredibly thrilled to complete this portion of the project with such an integral community partner, [Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre]. Thank You!”
