Baker City Police arrest man with “long history of criminal activity”

On Thursday June 4, 2026, Baker City detectives and patrol officers took into custody ROBERT M METZ, age 41 at 2250 Miller Street in Baker City.  Mr. Metz had been on BCPD’s radar for some time as he has a long history of criminal activity associated with drug use and trafficking.  

Mr. Metz was arrested on numerous outstanding warrants out of Malheur County.  His warrant charges included unlawful possession of Heroin, three counts of failure to appear, giving false information to a police officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and reckless driving.  

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Baker County Jail where he was released due to medical issues and cited to appear.
